The Shadow Falls

Chapter 1

  Long time ago...very long time ago...there was an old kingdom. In it's capital the people were living happy. The children were playing around and laughing. The life was going slowly and happily, happily until one day...

  The day we are talking about was quiet. Nothing was moving, no living thing. Everything was left unfinished and the people had locked themselves in their houses. Something terrible was happening, but what? And why were they so scared?

  But someone was running in the streets. A girl was running to the tower as quickly as she could...

  In the same time, in the tower, a beautiful white Fay was looking through the window.
  "Astrinka?"
  "Yes?"   Asked the other girl in the room.

  "Why is everything so quiet outside? There's no one in the streets!" said the Fay with a tone of confusion in her voice.

  "I don't know Lady Astra."

As Astrinka finished her sentence, the door had opened with fast creak, and the girl who had been running along the street hurried in. With great difficulty she said "Lady Astra! Lady Astra!

  The Fay turned to look at her,

  " Black Wolf? Blacka? What are you doing here?" she asked, surprised to see her old friend

"Lady Astra!" repeated Blacka

  "Oh you can stop calling me Lady Astra, we are friends, silly!" she smiled "What's happened? Sit, you look really tired!"

  "No, no! Astra, they...they..." she couldn't finish.

  "Who Blacka? You look worried, what's the matter?"

" They has comeback!" gasped Blacka.

In that moment no one could say anything. The white Fay gave a shocked look at her friend and The Black Wolf turned her eyes and looked at Astra.

At last that horrible silent died, when Astrinka asked quietly "what are we going to do?"

  "I don't know... "Answered The Black Wolf and looked down "I don't know ..."

  All three stood at the window watching the approaching figures, escorted by Morgan, Captain of the Guard.

"Kyran, the Dark Storm" murmured Astra.

"And Rodofo The Half-Death One" added Blacka.

"Is it true that Sir Kyran is half monster like they say?" asked Astrinka nervously.

"I don't know, I sense he is more than just an Elf but a monster? I doubt it" replied Astra "however he obviously doesn't take no for an answer." She thought for a moment. "We will go through the normal etiquette and invite them in. Bane would know what to do but he isn't here so I'll have to do it instead"

Astra donned her heavy white cloak and pulled up the hood. She turned to The Black Wolf, "Blacka my friend, I feel you would be more use if you remained hidden. They don't know you're here and your stealth would be an advantage"

  "Yes, you are right Astra...Well I have to go, if you have a message for me - just tell the wind, and he will tell me. Bye for now" Blacka turned and walked out of the room

"What?! Tell the wind?! What is she talking about, Lady Astra? Is that a riddle?" asked Astrinka

"No, she meant it"

"Uh, I think I'll ever understand her"

  Astra try to smile, but it was very hard... They had comeback, what were they going to do? She didn't know the answer...
