The Shadow Falls

Chapter 9

  Karazia, Domino Jack, Jay and Mojo stayed in cave, when they at last heard two voices.

'No!'

'Yes!'

'No!'

'Yes!'

  'Oh God...' said Karazia 'this is Blacka'

She looked out of the cave and she saw what she was expecting - Blacka and Rodofo.

  'Come on, guys, get out of the cave.' she said

  'No!' shouted again Blacka, and it looked like she even didn't notice the others, when she shouted again 'Karazia!'

  Karazia jumped and smiled confused 'Um 'ello Blacka, how are you? How was your day?'

  'Very funny, we'll talk later about that...' she turned to Rodofo again '...we'll talk later, too'

  'What is he doing here?!' asked Domino Jack

  'He is friend, don't worry'

  'A-ha'  

  'Um Blacka, this is Jay aaand this is Mojo' Karazia said

  'Nice to meet you' they said

  'Are you expecting someone?' asked Rodofo

  'Yes, my messengers...' she stopped for a second 'I think Kyran is near, you go I'll take care for him and I'll wait for my boys'

  'If that's not a secret, how?' asked Domino Jack

  'I'll make sure that he'll go long to the Tower, now if I don't hear wrong, you...' and she pointed Jay '...can teleport right?'

  'Yes, but how did you heard that pretty lady's friend?! You were far away!'

  'Never mind, just do what it must to take them to the tower' she turned and disappeared in the forest

  'Man, she is bossy' said Domino Jack

  'She learned to be bossy and she is only when she is angry.' Said Karazia 'And Rodofo is guilty for that' He even didn't heard her, he already knew, that she don't like him. Nor he does.    

'Well, no time like the present' said Mojo turning to Jay. 'Can you manage all of us?'

'Uh one two three four, five, yah can do!' sang Jay as he counted them. 'Off we go' he said as he started to weave the spell with his magi staff. Unnoticed, behind them a shadow moved and raised a bow loaded with an arrow...

 

  Blacka found the jaguar and the falcon.

  'News?'

  'No, they don't talk, just riding' said Ziuko

  'Yeah, they are really boring to watch' said Cherniack

  'But, we saw that guy, I forgot his name'

  'Kyran'

  'Yeah Kyran'

  'And we are standing on his way'

  'True'

  'What?!' said Blacka She jumped on a tree. The jaguar and the falcon fallowed her. She told them something and waited till Kyran and his soldiers appear on the meadow. Then the falcon flew really close to Kyran's eyes. He didn't expected and he covered his eyes with his hand.

  'We'll see, if you're soldiers have ever seen flying rocks' whispered Blacka and raise her hand in the air. Some rock flew in the air and then flew forward. This time Kyran   expected and just with simple move he turned the rocks on the other way.

  'Darn it!!!' shouted Blacka and jumped down the tree just in front the soldiers. The falcon and the jaguar returned to her medallion. She jumped quickly and ran thought the woods.

  'Get her!' shouted Kyran and his horse followed her. The others followed, too.

  Black was running deeper in the forest. And no matter how fast did the horses running, she always escaped. She stopped by the river and she was just planning to go cross it when the water suddenly go up like a wall. She turned back and saw Kyran and his soldiers around her.

  'You're not just a mortal, are you? Mortals can't run that fast and usually don't get magic powers'

  'Hmm, maybe I'm not' she smiled angrily

  'Get her'

  'Not so fast' she said and howled. In few seconds many yellow eyes started glowing in the dark.

  'W-wolves, thousands of wolves' someone said

  Kyran looked around, but when he looked again at Blacka, she just wasn't there. The wolves disappeared like the wind, too.

  'Illusions, pathetic illusions!' he shouted angrily. When he looked around him, he understands what her plan was. Now he was deep in the forest, and to get out would take a day, because the horses were tired.

  'Curse you' he whispered

'Urrgh, what happened?' said Karazia, opening her eyes. 'I feel awful!'

'Ah, you're awake' Karazia turned towards the sound of the voice and saw a young dark haired young man next to her. She realized that she was lying on a bed and sat up.

The young man continued 'I believe that we haven't been properly introduced. I am Raven and you are in the Tower infirmary. I'm afraid you arrived in a bit of a poor state. Jay didn't know that the spells were strengthened around the Tower so teleporting into them didn't have a very good effect on you. However just as you were teleporting away from your old location, someone hit Domino Jack with an arrow. Fortunately Mojo realized you were under attack and did his mojo thing and that saved you all from real harm. Got all that?' he added winking at her slightly bemused expression.

'Uh yeah.' Karazia looked around the rest of the room and saw Mojo unconscious on one of the other infirmary beds. Domino Jack was sitting on another bed getting his left shoulder bandaged by a big guy in amour. Jay seemed to be watching with interest and generally getting in the way.

'A freaking arrow!' Domino Jack was grumbling 'A freaking shadow sneaking arrow hurling pain in the arse annoying git. A freaking arrow in my freaking shoulder! What the hell?'

'You're lucky; there are far worse places to be hit by an arrow. A bit of rest and you'll be fine in no time' soothed Morgan. 'Jay, your getting in my way, you should also get some rest. That was a big 'port'

Jay grinned 'Yes, you can use my bed too Domino Jack'

Domino Jack spluttered 'What? No, I'll get my own bed! Geeesh.'

'Now now DJ, he's just trying to be nice' admonished Morgan patting Domino Jack on the head in a friendly way. 'Right, all done, you're go to go. Lady Astra would like you and Karazia to report what you saw. She's in the Star room preparing the Watchtower summon.'

'Here's your hat' said Jay wearing it on his head. Domino Jack snatched at it 'gimme that!'

Karazia shook her head. 'Is it normally like this?' she asked Raven. He considered it. 'Yup...except on Sundays'

Karazia and Domino Jack walked into the Star room. Karazia looked up and saw that the ceiling was a prefect replica of the night's sky. On the floor was a large golden circle with some small objects at each compass point.

"Sorry to interrupt' said Domino Jack. Lady Astra walked towards them. 'No matter, I've just finished. Lets retire to the Great Hall. I left Rodofo there. I am uncertain if we can trust him and I'd rather he didn't know what we are doing in here.'  

When they entered they saw that Rodofo was seated at the table with Yu Kamari Red and Arcane being entertained by Triny. They sat down and quickly told their story. When they had finished Lady Astra asked 'But where is Blacka, now?'

  'She went to take Kyran away' replied Rodofo

  'What?!' Lady Astra shouted 'Why did you let her go?'

  In that time the window opened from the wind and Blacka appeared in front of them.

  'Hello, atlas back' she said and gave a tired smile for Astra.

  'I'm so glad to see you alright!'

  'Well I found out, that he has powers over the air and the water, which wasn't very nice, so I got to teleport' explained Blacka.

  'I didn't know you can do that'

'Well I don't use it often, it's really disturbing' she laughed 'But now you don't have to worry about Kyran, he'll travel minimum a day, because he is in the middle of the East Forest'

  'Thank you' smiled Astra

  'My pleasure' smiled Blacka

  'We have to talk about the plans about Them and the Valharons'

Once Morgan, Raven and Jay had joined them, they discussed the plans, how are they going to teleport Kyran on other spot, and how Blacka and Rodofo will fool Them and the Valharons to fight with each other. Now they had to work!
